    The National Defense Industrial Association is hosting the TRI-Association Small Business Advisory Panel (TRIAD) Conference. The TRIAD was formed in 1967 to coordinate the efforts of small business subcontracting representatives. It was formed to serve the best interests of the industry associations and their member companies, affected government agencies, and the small business community.

    The meeting provides an opportunity to exchange pertinent information concerning small and diverse business utilization, legislative changes and its impact on government prime contractors. Its mission is to further an open exchange, promoting broad-based government-industry communications, cooperation, and understanding.

    The annual National Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) Week Conference is planned under the direction of the White House Initiative on HBCUs and with input from the Chairman of the President’s Board of Advisors on HBCUs and other supporters. 


    It provides a forum to exchange information and share innovations among and between institutions.  This year’s event will bolster HBCUs as they connect up to federal and other opportunities that enhance the shared prosperity, as well as the overall competitiveness, of the United States of America.

    The National Convention of the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) is the country's largest networking venue for Hispanic-owned business and Fortune 1000 corporations interested in the Hispanic market. The USHCC is the acknowledged leader in actively promoting the economic growth and development of the more than 4.1 million Hispanic-owned businesses in the United States. The organization serves more than 260 major U.S. corporations and 200 local chambers and business associations nationwide. Attendees at the USHCC event include corporate buyers, Hispanic business enterprises, and chamber members. Held over three days each Fall, the USHCC National Convention offers a plethora of networking opportunities, business training sessions, workshops, and round tables.     MBDA is honored to celebrate Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week, October 13-16, 2019 in collaboration with the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) Conference and Business Opportunity Exchange.

    MBDA will present a series of Powered by MBDA workshops and seminars at the conference that will focus on Federal Government resources including trade/exports, infrastructure, and federal procurement opportunities. MBDA will also host the MBDA Pavilion where minority entrepreneurs and business owners can obtain one-on-one business counseling and coaching sessions.

    Since 1983, every president has issued a Presidential Proclamation designating a National Minority Enterprise Development Week to recognize the contributions of the minority business community to the U.S. economy.  For 35 years, Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) has led the National MED Week program to convene business leaders, honor outstanding MBEs and advocates, promote business opportunities, and report industry trends.

    Held each fall, the SAME Small Business Conference is the premier event for federal agencies and businesses operating in the A/E/C marketplace to come together to share information, discuss business needs and mission requirements, connect with potential partners and help support the nation’s small businesses and the government’s small business contracting goals. This annual conference includes senior leadership from several federal agencies, including the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Air Force Civil Engineer Center and Department of Veterans Affairs as well as General Services Administration, Department of Energy, Department of Commerce, U.S. Public Health Service and Small Business Administration.
