Event Overview

This session offers a comprehensive introduction to the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) and an overview of its audit process. Learn about DCAA's mission to deliver independent audit and financial expertise that helps ensure every dollar is used effectively to safeguard our nation's interests. The webinar will cover the agency's organizational structure, strategic goals for 2026–2030, and key performance results — including the examination of $788.4 billion and $5.3 billion in savings achieved in FY 2025.

About the DCAA Small Business Outreach Program

The Fiscal Year 2013 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) introduced significant changes to the federal government's small business contracting programs. As it relates to DCAA, the act created a small business Ombudsman. DCAA appointed a small business focal point and implemented a small business outreach program in 2013. The DCAA small business ombudsman serves as the program manager and audit expert for the small business program, with responsibility to provide assistance, consultation, and internal control regarding audit requirements and their application to small business.
