What is the FAR and why is it important to you?

When a federal government agency issues a solicitation, it will specify the applicable FAR provisions, which may be numerous. In order to be awarded a contract, an offeror must either comply with the provisions, demonstrate that it will be able to comply with them at the time of award or claim an exemption from them. This class will define the FAR and how it works.

Key takeaways from this training session:

-Define the FAR, what it is and how it works.
-Identify the types of contracts used in Federal Government Contracting
-Understand FAR Part 19 which deals with the Small Business Programs
-Understand that the rules for doing business with the Federal Government are different than the commercial sector.
