Recognizes TEVET operating in Rural America that have made significant contributions to improve the economic, educational, and/or social quality of its community. 

TEVET’s goal was, and is, to continue to provide real opportunities for gainful employment in our HUBZone community to encourage young people to stay in Greeneville, Tennessee and not only did they bring back the jobs they transformed their community. TEVET is proud to be a company that offers volunteer programs for its employees and encourages them to give back.

Recognizes Nyla Technology operating in Urban America (Metro)  that have made significant contributions to improve the economic, educational, and/or social quality of its community. 

Nyla is making a significant impact for its employees, in its larger HUBZone community, and the federal agencies with which it works. It has repeatedly been honored as a top workplace and rising company, and it emphasizes culture and corporate responsibility.

Recognizes V-Tech Solutions operating in Urban America (Metro)  that have made significant contributions to improve the economic, educational, and/or social quality of its community.


Manisha Morris


HUBZone Corporate Citizen of the Year

     

Recognizes Manisha Morris within a HUBZone Community that has made significant contributions to improve the economic, educational, and/or social quality of its community and promotes the values and spirit of the HUBZone Program.

Manisha created a company that sought to change that culture and challenge the status quo. She donates her time to mentoring and advising young girls in their career aspirations. Additionally, Manisha is an active volunteer for animal welfare through various nonprofits throughout the country.

 

Delali Dzrisa

HUBZone Corporate Citizen of the Year

Recognizes Delali Dzrisa within a HUBZone Community that has made significant contributions to improve the economic, educational, and/or social quality of its community and promotes the values and spirit of the HUBZone Program.

Delali Dzirasa has worked tirelessly with SBA, the U.S. Senate, other HUBZonecompanies as well with the HUBZone Council Board to  assisting in  rewrite the policies of the SBA program. This expands beyond his company but the entire HUBZonecommunity and every Small Business in the country. 


HUBZone Agency 

of the Year


Recognizes the Department of Treasury that has made significant contributions to improve the economic, educational, and/or social quality of the HUBZone Small Business Community.

SBA works with Treasury to set their prime and subcontracting goals and while many agencies struggle with meeting their Small Business Goals for the 10th year in the row the Department of Treasury not only met but exceeded their small business goals  at 3.28% and they are on track to do it again in FY 2020.

Rita Brooks

Rita Brooks has participated in the National HUBZone Council conferences to advocate for small businesses for over 16 years. 

She states, "My belief is that when I meet you, I am an advocate of small business and not just representing the company I currently work with. When you have a passion for what you do, it is your job to give the council and resources available to you to help that HUBZone business grow." 

"Little things matter to these companies, and my passion leads me to continue wanting to see them succeed, and I will continue to support this category of small business."
