Through a partnership with Planet Green, the HUBZone Council is working to protect our environment by collecting and recycling discarded electronics and ink cartridges.

More than 2.5 million tons of e-waste ends up in our landfills every year.  Planet Green and the thousands of organizations participating in its recycling program have been able to keep millions of pounds of e-waste out of our landfills while raising over $40 million for schools, churches, and other non-profit organizations nationwide.

Since Planet Green’s creation over a decade ago, its core philosophy of quality products, quality service, and quality relationships has been the focus of every single activity in the company.  Planet Green is now one of the largest ink cartridge re-manufacturers in the world – and 100% of Planet Green's products are re-manufactured in the USA.

How the Program Works:

Collect your discarded hand-held electronics and ink cartridges and send them to Planet Green or the HUBZone Council.  We'll sort and recycle your items and the Council receives a rebate to support its mission to improve the HUBZone Program and help decrease unemployment and homelessness.

What do we accept?

  • inkjet cartridges (sorry, no laser cartridges)
  • cell phones (including batteries & chargers)
  • GPS devices
  • digital music players (iPods, etc.)
  • personal digital assistants (PDAs)
  • digital cameras, camcorders & video cameras
  • e-book readers (Kindle, Nook, etc.)
  • tablets (iPads, etc.)
  • calculators
  • radar detectors
  • video game consoles & accessories

To protect privacy, all user data is stripped from devices as they are recycled.

If you have 20 more more items to recycle, visit our RECYCLING WEBSITE and click on 'RECYCLE' to download and print a label to ship them for free.

If you have fewer than 20 items, you can send them to the HUBZone Council (at your expense) and we'll forward them to Planet Green.  Send to:
